KVGSA is looking for Dynamite coaches and assistants for the upcoming 2021 season.  Experience is an asset, however not mandatory.  We do not discourage anyone who is interested in applying for a coaching position, as we will provide proper guidance and training. Our goal is to select coaches early and train new coaches through our Learn to Coach curriculum.  This program will allow coaches to start working with their teams and gain knowledge with the KVGSA coaches network.  KVGSA is committed to work with individuals who have a keen interest in coaching and developing softball players in our community. 

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Collaborate and participate with the Dynamite Advisory Committee in winter training sessions
  • Strong technical softball knowledge and team building skills to organize, implement and

     evaluate athletes.

  • All Dynamite coaches must have completed their Community Sport Ongoing Participation & Competition – Introduction Training; although required, it can be worked on while coaching.)
  • Excellent mentorship and communication skills to maintain positive relationships with coaches, players, families and the general community.
  • Work with other coaches to build a sense of team community, support individual player, team goals and development.  Also being respectful of opposing coaches, teams and players.
  • Professional, confident, approachable and committed to the development of self, association andcommunity.
  • Help develop the season schedule including practice plans, games and tournaments (varies per group, details will be provided)
  • Participate in coach’s development courses and training sessions
  • Work within the mentorship/training program with entry level coaches
